We will begin the activity by picking you up from your hotel and transporting you to the first two stops of the itinerary: Carmen Alto and Yanahuara. From this point, we will have a panoramic view of the city and the Misti Volcano. We will then proceed to the Plaza de Armas, where we will learn about the Cathedral, the surrounding arches, and the 'Compañia de Jesus' Church. Then, we will visit the Santa Catalina Monastery, a colonial-era cloister that evolved into a little settlement over time, which offers us a clear understanding of what Arequipa's 17th-century architecture was like. Following this activity, the tour will conclude, and we will transfer back to your hotel.
The highway leading out of Arequipa will be our first stop after picking you up from your accommodation. We'll have to make short acclimatization breaks as we climb in elevation. We'll stop at the Caahuelas Pampa Reserve to see alpacas and vicuñas. Our next stop will be Patahuasi, where we will spend a few minutes. We'll continue to Tacra, where we'll be able to see the region's vegetation and fauna.
Patapampa, the 4,800-meter-high volcano's vantage point, is the following site on the tour's itinerary (15,748 feet). In Chivay, we'll eat lunch and settle into our motels before continuing to the city of Aguadilla. We'll be able to relax at the thermal springs of Cahacapi in the afternoon, and then we'll be able to eat dinner in Chivay. We'll go to bed early tonight so we can get a good night's sleep before tomorrow's big day.
In the morning, you will enjoy breakfast at the hotel, and then you will be transferred to the Cruz del Cóndor (Cross of the Condor). Visit the viewpoint where you can observe some condors in flight on this excursion. While in Yanque and Maca, we'll get the opportunity to visit the local squares and craft markets. After that, we'll head back to Chivay for a leisurely lunch.

In the morning, our Gotolatam staff guide will pick you up from your hotel in Puno to begin your full-day tour of Lake Titicaca and the nearby islands. The majestic beauty of Lake Titicaca has captivated the hearts of countless explorers and travelers for centuries. Situated high in the Andean mountains between Peru and Bolivia, this enchanting lake is not only the largest in South America but also the highest navigable lake in the world. Our tour starts with a boat trip to the floating islands of the Uros, a collection of artificial islands built from floating bundles of reeds. You will have free time to buy souvenirs at the market and explore these floating marvels created by the Uros tribe to defend themselves against rival tribes. Then we will continue with a 2-hour boat ride to Taquile Island, home to a Quechua community that continues the tradition of male residents producing fine handicrafts. Here, you will have lunch with a magnificent view of Lake Titicaca before your return to Puno.
Be swept up in the beauty of the Andes, the stunning final destination as you travel from Puno to Cusco. Train journeys aboard Andean Explorer promise countless memories to treasure. The Spirit of the Water journey departs every Tuesday and Thursday.
