Itinerary

Day 1: Quito arrival

You embark on your journey to this South American city that offers a balanced mix of cultural exploration and wildlife encounters. Upon arrival at the Mariscal Sucre International Airport, you will be greeted with warm hospitality by our staff who will take you to your hotel for your check-in. You are going to have a free afternoon in Quito to rest and take a short walk around parks and nearby streets. ¡Rest enough and get ready for an amazing travel experience in Quito, Ecuador!

Day 2: Galapagos arrival and santa cruz express tour day 1

We will pick you up from your accommodation in Quito in the morning and drive you to Mariscal Sucre International Airport so you can board your flight to Baltra Island in the Galapagos. After arriving at the airport, a shuttle will transport you to the Itabaca Channel, where a 20-minute boat journey will take you to Santa Cruz Island. When you arrive on Santa Cruz Island, we begin the trip with an incredible journey across the island's many landscapes and animals. Additionally, you will travel through the Highlands and stop for lunch at one of the many ranches on Santa Cruz Island. Here you are going to have the chance to observe the Giant Tortoise which is an iconic animal of the archipelago. After this visit, we will head to Puerto Ayora to check into your selected hotel for overnight.

Day 3: Bartolome island tour – santa cruz express tour day 2

Following an early breakfast, you will have the opportunity to take a tour of one of the surrounding islands. By visiting Bartolome Island, you will have the chance to learn more about the richness of the Galapagos. You will be astounded by the abundance of breathtaking landscapes and geological rock formations, like Pinnacle Rock, here. Additionally, you'll get a chance to practice snorkeling and see a wide range of aquatic animals in their natural environment.

Day 4: North seymour island tour – santa cruz express tour day 3

Be ready for the most historical day on your visit to Galapagos. Today you will visit North Seymour Island which is the home of a large number of flora and fauna of the Galapagos archipelago. The most outstanding species of North Seymour Island are the Frigate Birds, Land Iguanas, the amazing Blue-footed Boobies, and Sea Lions, marine species that are very beautiful to watch in the turquoise waters around the island.

Day 5: Charles darwin station visit – santa cruz express tour day 4

In the morning, we are going to pick you up from your hotel and transport you to Charles Darwin Station. The main attraction of this place is the Tortoise Breeding Center. Here we are going to have a briefing and historical lesson about the tortoises that habit in the Station. You can also take a walk around the Station and get some wonderful photos of this place and the tortoises. When this visit finishes, we will transfer you to Baltra Airport so you can board your flight to Quito.

Day 6: Flight to cusco from quito

Our private transportation will pick you up from your hotel in Quito and transfer you to the Mariscal Sucre International Airport. You will board a flight to the city of Cusco with a stopover in the City of Lima. Once you arrive in the Land of the Incas, our Gotolatam staff will welcome you at the Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport and will escort you to your hotel

Day 7: Cusco city tour

You will have the morning free to take a short walk and take some photos around the Historical Center of the city before your half-day city tour begins. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a guided City Tour of Cusco and the surrounding archaeological sites, such as Qorikancha temple – most known as the Temple of the Sun and Sacsayhuaman Fortress – a place that served for the Inti Raymi to take place. You will also visit Tambomachay which is located in the upper part of the beautiful city of Cusco.

Day 8: Full-day tour to the sacred valley and overnight in aguas calientes

After an early breakfast at your hotel in Cusco, a Gotolatam representative will pick you up to start your Sacred Valley tour. The first stop will be the City of Pisac, a small town with exquisite architecture that is the perfect place to buy authentic Andean souvenirs, known as artesanias. As you browse through the selection of traditional clothing and handicrafts, you'll easily understand why the Pisac market has a reputation of its own. In the afternoon, you will visit Ollantaytambo, which is an Inca site that began as a palace or fortress but was eventually used as the last Inca stronghold against the invading Spanish conquistadors. After an exciting day of archaeological exploration, you will board the train to Machu Picchu town – known as Aguas Calientes – at the Ollantaytambo train station. Upon your arrival in Aguas Calientes, a representative of Gotolatam will be waiting for you at the Aguas Calientes train station to take you to your hotel.

Day 9: Visit to machu picchu and return to cusco

¡The main day of your trip! Be ready to visit the Citadel of Machu Picchu. Our representative will pick you up from your hotel to escort you to the Aguas Calientes Bus Station for a 30-minute bus ride to the Citadel of Machu Picchu, where you are going to have a private guided tour of the citadel. During your tour, you will be able to visit historical places located in the Citadel of Machu Picchu, like the Sun Stone, Sun Temple, and the Room of the Three Windows. After your tour finishes, you will have some free time to explore Aguas Calientes, buy some local artesanias, and enjoy an amazing view of Machu Picchu town. Late in the afternoon, you will board the train from Aguas Calientes Train Station to Ollantaytambo Train Station, where a vehicle will be ready to take you back to your hotel in Cusco.

Day 10: Free day in the city of cusco

You will have a free day in the City of Cusco to discover the magnificent buildings around the Historic Center and taste local and Peruvian food in the restaurants around the main square. Take stunning photos in the iconic neighborhoods of the city of Cusco like San Blas and San Cristobal.

Day 11: Full-day tour to the rainbow mountain

On this day, you will enjoy a full-day tour to The Rainbow Mountain. We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco very early in the morning and start driving through the South Valley to the trailhead at Cusipata. After a delicious breakfast, we will begin our walk, following a beautiful path that finishes with an amazing view of Vinicunca Mountain, popularly known as Rainbow Mountain. At the top of Rainbow Mountain, you can have a panoramic view of Ausangate Mountain. When we come back to the base, we will travel to Cusipata to have lunch, and then you will return to the city of Cusco.

Day 12: Flight to lima from cusco

In the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and transfer you to the Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport. You will take a flight to the beautiful city of Lima. Prepare to discover a rich mix of ancient history and modern city life. Upon arrival at the Jorge Chávez International Airport, you will be greeted with warm hospitality by our Gotolatam representative who will take you to your hotel, where you will find comfortable accommodations that suit the needs of each traveler. Day 13: Lima city tour

A city tour in Lima, the vibrant capital of Peru, promises an enriching journey through history and culture. Embarking on this adventure unveils a remarkable landmark that showcases Lima's proud heritage. The San Francisco Convent is an architectural gem dating back to colonial times. Your next stop will be at the City Hall, exuding grandeur as it serves as both a symbol of civic pride and administrative power. Beyond lies the iconic Government Palace – an opulent edifice where Peruvian presidents have resided since the country's birth. Next to the Government Palace is the Basilica Cathedral at Plaza de Armas—the heart of Lima’s historical center—where architectural marvels intertwine beautifully with religious devotion. The tour continues into the Miraflores district with its breathtaking coastal views and finalizes at Barranco, known as a cosmopolitan and cultural district.

Day 14: Departure from lima

We will escort you to the Jorge Chavez International Airport to take your flight back home.
