Welcome to the city of Punta Arenas in the Antarctic region of Chile. Our team will assist you upon your arrival and transfer you to your hotel so that you can receive a pre-tour briefing and then rest. Punta Arenas is a city located in the province of Magallanes, one of the closest areas to the Antarctic region, and is located in the southern part of Chile.
In the morning, we will pick you up at your hotel and transfer you to the city dock to start your tour of Magdalena Island. On this day, you will navigate by boat through the Strait of Magellan and visit the Natural Monument Los Pinguinos, located on Magdalena Island. You will be able to observe the largest colony of penguins on the continent in their natural environment and take amazing pictures of the place before returning to Punta Arenas.
Today, we will transfer you to the Bus Station in the city so you can start your trip to Puerto Natales. The bus ride lasts approximately three hours, and during the trip, you will be able to appreciate the flora and fauna of the Patagonian Pampa. Once you arrive in Puerto Natales, our Gotolatam team will assist you and transfer you to your hotel.
Very early in the morning we will pick you up from your hotel and start your trip to Torres del Paine National Park. On this full-day excursion, you will travel approximately 300 km to reach Torres del Paine which is located in the south of Chile near Patagonia. In this park, you will see unique formations of mountains, glaciers, lakes, waterfalls, flora and fauna. The best places to see are Laguna de los Cisnes, Nordenskjold upper viewpoint, and Amarga Lake – a panoramic point of Torres Del Paine. If the level of the water lets us get through the coast of Lake Pehoe, we will reach the lower viewpoint of the Cuernos del Paine which has the best spots to take photographs and appreciate the amazing views of the National Park. When the day ends, we will take you back to your hotel.
In the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the Bus Station to start your trip to Calafate, located in Argentina. Upon your arrival, our Gotolatam staff will take you to your hotel.
On this day you will visit Los Glaciares National Park and its main attraction, Perito Moreno Glacier. First, we are going to cross over the main body of the Argentino Lake and reach the Rico arm as we enter into Los Glaciares National Park to descend at "Curva de los Suspiros" to observe the Perito Moreno Glacier for the first time. Then you are going to have a second stop at Bajo Las Sombras Dock to appreciate the Perito Moreno Glacier wall, here there are walkways so you can see the glacier from different perspectives and take outstanding photos. After your tour finishes, our Gotolatam staff will transfer you to your hotel in El Calafate.
You will have the day for free to explore this beautiful city on your own. Visit local restaurants and buy some souvenirs of Patagonia before leaving.
Early in the morning, our staff will pick you up from your hotel in El Calafate and take you to the city airport. You will board a flight to Ushuaia, where we will assist you and transfer you to your hotel to rest and overnight.
Ushuaia is characterized for being one of the towns if not the closest to the Antarctic region. In the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel and start the trip through the Tierra del Fuego National Park, where you will appreciate the locomotives and old luxury cars that, together with the flora and fauna of the place, represent an important part of Ushuaia's history. After the visit to Tierra del Fuego National Park, we will go through the Riding Center until we arrive at the End of the World Station, where you will have a talk about the history of the place and a short train ride around the surroundings and then transfer back to your hotel.
In the morning, we will head to the port to start your tour of the Bridges Islands. You will start visiting the deposits of the Yamanas or Yaganes, the original inhabitants of the Beagle Channel, and experience the environment in which they lived. The next stop is Los Lobos Island, where you can appreciate sea lions in their natural habitat. We continue to Los Pajaros Island, the habitat of Magallanes Cormorants and Imperial Cormorants, and the privileged sector to see specimens of the marine avifauna. We will visit the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse in the archipelago of the same name, where the ship Monte Cervantes was shipwrecked in 1930, before returning to the hotel to spend the night.
