In the morning, our Gotolatam staff guide will pick you up from your hotel in Puno to begin your full-day tour of Lake Titicaca and the nearby islands. The majestic beauty of Lake Titicaca has captivated the hearts of countless explorers and travelers for centuries. Situated high in the Andean mountains between Peru and Bolivia, this enchanting lake is not only the largest in South America but also the highest navigable lake in the world. Our tour starts with a boat trip to the floating islands of the Uros, a collection of artificial islands built from floating bundles of reeds. You will have free time to buy souvenirs at the market and explore these floating marvels created by the Uros tribe to defend themselves against rival tribes. Then we will continue with a 2-hour boat ride to Taquile Island, home to a Quechua community that continues the tradition of male residents producing fine handicrafts. Here, you will have lunch with a magnificent view of Lake Titicaca before your return to Puno.
